Driving from St. Lucia to Drakensberg, we stopped outside of Durban visiting Nelson Mandela’s capturing site where a thoughtful memorial paid tribute to his “long walk to freedom”. Each meter of the path marks a year of his life, and plagues along the path commemorate major events of his life until one sees a bunch of sticks…
that morphs into his profile.
“Dragon Mountains” are the tallest and largest mountain range in South Africa. We spent 2 nights here to cover 2 hiking trails – detailed in my hiking blog.
