Kusadasi, Turkey

 Sept. 2nd, 2015

The main focus of this Turkish seaside resort town is the Ephesus ruin nearby. The ancient Ephesus was founded about 8000 years ago.  Through its remarkable history, it hosted Temple of Artemis (destroyed), one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was the backdrop of Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians, maybe the city where Apostle John wrote his Gospel and Book of Revelation (one of the seven cities addressed, Revelation 2:1-7), and maybe the final resting place of Jesus’ mother, Mary.

We witnessed our ship backing into its slip – not your everyday parallel parking.
